Engineering or Medicine??????

Okay so, I do four subjects now in AS and that's Math, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and I have this strong passion for maths❤️ yeah, but I feel I would waste those abilities if I do medicine but then, I'm not a great fan of physics and I just feel medicine is boring but cool in a way and then engineering is good as well and I don't want to fall into the wrong course. help needed pls

Strong passion for maths? Engineering it is.

engineering

you could go into an engineering field where you make pacemakers and invent new robots that do surgeries or something

(as you can tell i know nothing about this lmao XD)

or medical physics!
Your post doesn't indicate a particular connection with either.

If you have a passion for maths then I think you should consider maths.
It's clear from your post you have absolutely no passion for Medicine whatsoever. 'It's cool in a way' is not a good enough reason.

Avoid it.
Yeh engineering is a very useful degree . See a careers advisor

That's the thing, I do not have any particular connection, I just want a choice, because I am still not certain about, I love maths but hate physics and I feel I won't be able to apply my knowledge of maths in medicine and I me physics for engineering

Tricky one. I found university Physics to be much better than A-level Physics. Then again, I didn't 'hate' A-level Physics (though I disliked it most out of maths, physics and chemistry).

In terms of careers they're very different options. Being a doctor is a high-stress occupation, and though eventually paid well you will spend many years in training. I wouldn't suggest it unless you have a certain level of interest. Engineering by contrast is very diverse, but it involves a great deal of physics.

Have you considered doing Maths? You might have to take AS Further Maths in second year but it sounds like you'll find it more interesting. Also, I think a Mathematics degree is more versatile than a degree in Engineering.
Engineering is the new Medicine.

Medicine used to be somewhat good, and good for career oppertunities. But Engineering/ Computer Science is where the money and future it now.

Don't ever go into Medicine, way too competitive, and a lack of reward.

Don't do a maths degree, unless you literally have no clue whatsoever what you want to do in your life.

Consider Computational Biology. It's like the robotics of medicine, breifly explained. And even top Uni's do it.

If you hate physics then engineering is not for you, and if you feel medicine is boring then that's not for you either.
You could do a maths degree - which is amazing
You can go into actuarial science, investment banking

Maths is life, honestly it is one of the best things you can go into

As a lot of others have said, you've got absolutely no conviction for medicine which makes it a terrible choice. Engineering would be the better option of the two for you but will involve a substantial amount of physics wether it's mechanical, electrical or chemical.
A few questions then: What do you dislike about physics? Have you considered a maths degree if you really like maths?

please stop talking about engineering you're hurting my brain XD
Engineering will give you much more options, is cheaper and takes less time than medicine (AFAIK)

Also engineering = master race

sorry
the only engineering type i know about is Motorsports/ Automotive (because of F1)
other than that i'm clearly clueless XP sorrayyyy

you into motorsport ?, let me just slide into your DM's XD
Doctor_f03d25_1645885.jpgsorry the title suddenly reminded me of this photo...
Anyway...
Dedication, hard-work, work experience, further reading, UKCAT/BMAT, keep up to date with current affairs=>Medical school=>FY=>core training=>specialist training=>GP/consultant
It's a long path.
You said that you like maths so why not pursue a degree in maths?
Engineering requires physics.. so if you dislike physics then its gonna be a problem
