Periodic Sequences

Just a quick question:
Does 0,1,4,5,4,1,0,1,4,... count as a periodic sequence or do the numbers have to be strictly in the same order, i.e. 0,1,4,5,0,1,4,5, etc.?

Also, is 0,1,4,5,4,1,0,1,4,... an oscillating sequence, or does it have to go into the negatives to be oscillating?

The top one will not count as a periodic sequence because the pattern has to repeat in the same order 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4.... for example.

But if we have 5,6,7,5,4,3,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4.... then we say the sequence is eventually periodic.

In fact a periodic sequence is just a special case of a periodic function.

It doesn't have to go negative so 1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2... is an oscillating sequence.
