Where to go for uni? - LSE or Bath

I have offers from both LSE and Bath amongst other places. Whilst I appreciate that LSE has a renowned name and reputation, I'm worried that going to such a high calibre institution will mean that I'll constantly be working and will have little time to enjoy doing other things. I was wondering if any LSE or Bath students could shed some light on the different kind of lifestyles there are at each respective uni. Thanks.
Depends. Let's establish two things.

1) What are you applying for?
2) What do you want to do as a career? Academia? Or something different?

Politics and IR, and I'm not too sure at the moment but possibly something within government

Without knowing Bath at all, both the Government and IR departments at LSE are world renowned. I studied BSc IR and I believe you can establish a great balance between hard work, doing well and making lots of friends/socialising. There is nothing holding you back! Despite some shortcomings (every uni has its own), I can warmly recommend LSE. I am happy to answer all your precise questions if you PM me.

yolo ... Lse
I got an offer from Bath, rejected by LSE for the same course as you. LSE is far more competitive to get into and has a much stronger brand. I would definitely take LSE if I had the chance.

Thanks a lot to everyone for the responses, they've all been useful.

My sister went to bath and she thoroughly enjoyed it and got onto a competitive grad scheme after, partly due to the year out, so an offer from bath is something you should be very pleased with  I think on balance I might go to LSE simply because of the course and modules on offer at LSE compared to Bath. Having said that they are both fantastic unis.
LSE - the most oversubscribed university in England. You have to be good to get an offer from LSE. A Bath offer is easier to attain.

Depends on what job you want to do later on. If you want to go into investment banking or finance or consulting then definitely go for lse and work hard while you are. LSE is many peoples dream university and it would be a real waste to turn down studying at such a good university. Keep in mind that university is hard work and you're going to be spending long nights studying before exams no matter if you go to bath or lse. I would definitely choose lse.
With the right attitude you will have a good time whichever uni you go to. I know someone who thought it smart to choose Bristol over LSE and regretted it ever since. Those who can work hard play hard and get good results (2:1) are sought after. LSE is not just a name. It represents people who can and have thrived in the most challenging situations. For those who want to have their cake and eat it, they learn time management, focus and trade offs at LSE. So much to do with so little time. LSE is definitely not the laid back place you are looking for. Your choice.
