Private number plates - anyone have experience?
I'm looking at getting a private plate from the dvla. How does it work?
I'm buying a new car, which means I will have to tax the car when I purchase it, but obviously it will have the existing no plate, so would that mean when my private plate is put on, I will have to tax it again? I'm guessing when I purchase the car,I'm cannot put the private plate on staright away?
Any help appreciated

Ask your car dealer - they can register the car with the new plate
