Why is my structural formula wrong?

So we're told to give the structural formula of C4H10O (tertiary structure)

I drew the displayed formula formula first to have an idea how it looked like, then wrote the structural formula, but it was wrong?

Don't the bits in the bracket indicate that it's branched?
Both the OH and CH3 are branched so why can't I write 2 brackets?

Basically, the OH is connected to the C so no bracket is needed. The Bracket for the CH3 is used to show that its connected to the C and not the OH

At least that's what I think.
