Because it prevents people like me from having opposing views.

As soon as I say "I think the UK and/or Europe should be secular" I get death threats from bigots as I have done above.

I'm not saying "kill all muslims" or anything of the sort, I just don't like religion and what comes with it.

Wants to have the freedom to be atheist/secular but is against people simply expressing their freedom to have and practice a religion, no hypocrisy here..

Again, why the need to be so patronising?

Respect the fact that I have opinions that differ from yours and move on with your life.

I'm allowed to have my own opinions.

Never said you were not allowed to hold an opinion  , but I am allowed to criticize it, especially if it is hate filled towards Muslims like me

I have to agree with Drummerz.

Freedom of religion gives the same principle you crave, freedom to choose and voice beliefs.

Don't you think it's hypocritical to ask to choose atheism but deny people religion?

Atheism isn't a belief, first of all.

Freedom of religion allows people like that nonce who told me to kill myself to express his feelings without fear of being censored.

Freedom of religion allows relatively small sects like that of Choudary to spew hate and Sharia propaganda in a country where none of it is needed.

I don't care whether it's hypocritical or not... I would like Europe to be secular.

As someone who has spent countless years in France, I have to agree.

Islam and French culture can't and never will be able to mix.

Exactly, thank you.

It's going to be ugly.

I beg to differ.

If they want to pray they should do it in the privacy of their own homes.

I dislike religion as a whole. I'd rather the whole of Europe be secular.

This "freedom of religion" nonsense is absurd and should be removed.

'Secularism' is the separation of religion and state, not religion and society. The whole purpose of secularism is to ensure freedom of religion whilst not having one religion impinge on the religious rights of another through the state. This is one of the dumbest comments I have seen on TSR.

Wow!! This shows how ignorant you are! :colonhash:

There are many churches in Sharia law countries!

There are many churches in the UAE for instance!

http://saintmarysdubai.org

http://www.stjosephsabudhabi.org

There many churches in Doha, Qatar, infact it came on the news that Qatar has approved the construction of the first evangelical church!

http://evangelicalfocus.com/world/769/Qatar_approves_construction_of_its_first_evangelical_church

The ECAQ secured a lease contract for the land in 2013, but had to wait for official government approval before it could start raising money for the QR100 million (US$27.47 million) church.

Qatar has granted legal status to the Catholic, Anglican, Greek Orthodox, Syrian Orthodox, Coptic, Lebanese Maronite, Filipino Evangelical and Indian Christian churches

Besides if you go to Qatar during Christmas , (I've been there during Christmas ) I've seen the malls decorated for Christmas!

And UAE hotel boasts 'most expensive Christmas tree'!

There are many churches in Indonesia,

And the list goes on!

It was a metaphor, and you wanted to oust all muslims from Europe because all they wanted to do was pray. You really are a pathetic tiny fool
The Guardian article is incredibly biased
