Salamualaykum my dear brothers and sisters,
The islamic society is somewhere i can turn to - a community who motivates me, of people who are also struggling , but sharing uplifting nuggets of knowledge and wisdom on the path towards enabling the betterment of each person.
The Islamic society is open to all. As a shia muslim, i absolutely love and adore my brothers and sisters from the ahlus-sunnah-wal-jamaah who post. Some of them may be older than me, have experiences i do not, and all of them i consider to be greater than i in piety. Despite jurisprudential differences, i love each and every member, whether shia or sunni, as my brother or sister in Islam, and seek to benefit and learn from the good each person has to give and contribute.
Unity among shia and sunni brothers and sisters is of the utmost importance. The beauty of an ummah is one where people may have divisions in fiqh, hadith, and jurisprudential issues, or views on certain personalities or historical figures - but that they have love and mercy between one another, never say anything to hurt the other madhab, and live in a tolerant manner where they respectfully agree to disagree.
Islam emphasizes being part of a community. Prayers in congregation are given preference to prayer alone. Eating together is given preference to eating alone. This islamic society therefore, brings together muslim brothers and sisters. I also invite non-muslim who are willing to be tolerant, polite, and moderate to also post, and integrete among us.
Everyone, be they shia or sunni is in my prayers. I have love for each member of the I-Soc, and each member are in my prayers. If i have done or said anything to offend anyone, please forgive me - and pray to Allah swt to guide both you and me. I have learned many things, - and tried to reflect on how i can be better and more accomodating and sensitive to the various issus.
Peace be with you all.
O ALLAH , WE PRAY TO YOU AND RELY ON YOU, FORGIVE OUR PAST ERRORS AND HELP US IN THE NEXT INSTALLMENT OF THE ISLAMIC SOCIETY.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa fromibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, has said, ‘It is in the book of Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib,r, “praise comes before asking for favors. Whenever you like to pray and plead before Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, for help, speak of His glory.” The narrator has said that I asked the Imam, ‘How should we speak of His glory?’ The Imam said, ‘Say, O You Who are closer to me than my jugular veins, O the One Who does without fail as He wishes, O the One Who stands between a man and his heart, O the One Who is on a high position and the One like Whom is no creature.’”Muwathaq Kal Saheeh -
