Overwhelmed by essay sources?
Everytime I go to write my university essay, I open all my books and try to look through them for suitable sources. I immediately start reading one, start getting overwhelmed and close the book. And I repeat this through ALL the books.
And before I know it, the deadline is a few days away and I don't know what to do.

For each of my uni essays I have around 100 sources (2000 word essays). It is overwhelming if you try it that way.
I personally form my argument first (though having done much of the work properly before I can do this). I then add in all my lecture/seminar sources, reading through some to pick up other sources. Also I do some other research and fill in other gaps too with other sources.
If you start with other work I can imagine it being so. Just make a note of each source you need as you go, and you won't be overwhelmed.
