Working on an American camp/finding your own

I want to work on an American camp this summer however would rather do this without using a third party if possible (such as camp America etc) to save costs.
Has anyone organised this before? Is it feasible and do you have any advice? If not which would be the best company to go with?

Hello! You will need an organisation to sponsor your trip to the USA and allow you to obtain your J1 visa to work on an American Summer Camp - it's extremely difficult to do without a third party as the majority of camps are not visa sponsors. We've been running since 1969 sending people to camp, and offer 100% support pre and post departure to the USA.
