Help with this percentages question please?

If population of africa in 2002 was 650 000 000 and it keeps increasing by 2.9% every year what's it gonna be in 2020? Is there a quicker way of doing this than calculating each year seperately? Would this be right: 650000000x1.029^18 and i got 1,087,401,937?
