How can I study biomedical science at university with no A levels?

I'm 20 years old and I left school with only a few GCSEs, only one of them a C grade (English), and maybe 3 passes on other BTEC subjects (art, science, and travel and tourism) because I was suffering anxiety and depression at the time of my exams. Anyway long story short I didn't get 5 GCSEs at C grade I needed to be able to do A levels.
Could I do an access to science course without a C grade in maths? If not, what are my options to get to university to study biomedical science? This is ultimately the career path I want to follow, but because of my lack of credentials I don't have many options, could someone please help me out.
You can get into Applied Medical Sciences at UCL if you take BTEC level 3 Applied Medical Sciences. You will have to have an 'Advanced' in an English qualification though. Here is some details: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate/degrees/applied-medical-sciences-bsc/

Is there a way to get onto level 3 without a merit in level 2?
Also, I don't have an actual certificate proving I have a pass in level 2 science, I only have the paper I have from my exam saying I did. And I don't think it was a btec, I think it was an award or something. Basically idk if I'll be able to get onto a level 3 btec course. But thanks for this information.

Some colleges offer GCSE courses to compliment your study (they did this at Worcester), but this varies from college to college. They'll usually state what they offer on their own sites.

UCL entry requirements make no sense! Pretty sure they have monkeys making it up for them.

Lol how can you get "23 credits at distinction in access course" when the units in access are made up of 3 credits each!???!!?

As for OP many colleges allow GCSE's to be taken with an access course. Good luck.

Thanks, I'm hoping this is the case at the college I chose to study at.
