Is a Graphic Design degree worth it?
So, I'm starting college soon doing a BTEC extended diploma in Visual Communications (Graphic design, photography etc) and I'll most likely be going to university afterwards to extend my knowledge.
I intend to work as a freelancer after maybe a year or so of working for employers.
I know it's usually necessary to have a degree in Graphic Design on your CV or they might not even ask you for an interview, but if I take the course after 2 years of focusing on it in college (we specialise in one part of the visual communications course, basically) is it really mandatory in this case? As in, it won't be a repeat of half of the things I've already been taught?
