We want a 'No Fly Zone in Eastern Turkey to stop Erdogan attacking the Kurds?

Why is the west not helping protect Kurds in Eastern Turkey against attacks from Erdogan's forces? Why can they make a no fly zone.

Back in the 1990s no fly zones were enforced over Northern Iraq to protect Kurds form Saddam Hussein's forces.
There were also no fly zones in Bosnia to protect them Bosnians from Serbs.

The west even created no fly zones in Libya to protect Jihadists and terrorists from Gaddafi.

If the west won't help the Kurds in Turkey, should they seek protection and help from Russia and Putin?

The Kurds won't get anything substantial from Putin. He won't go to war with a NATO member over such a minuscule issue. As seems to frequently happen to the Kurds they are a victim of geopolitical realities. The West needs Turkey more than it needs the Kurds, so won't take any action that would a serious conflict with Erdogan.

True but a well armed free Kurdistan could be a major stabilising force in the Middle East. The Kurds are a secular people and mostly oppose extremism.
The west could trust the Kurds a lot more than Turkey. NATO only included Turkey because it was a valuable Cold War ally. Nowadays they are more likely to back Jiahdist groups like ISIS.

The Cold war is overrated. Does the west really need Turkey anymore?

Russia is on the rise so Turkey is seeing it's strategic rise by the day. Volatility in the Middle East is also a reason to keep Turkey on side as much as possible. Sure they are not the most reliable of allies (an understatement) but they are an ally.

Also an independent Kurdistan would mean taking territory from Syria, Iraq and Turkey. None of these powers, though Syria cannot argue right now, want to see that. It would also embolden every other minority in the region to start pursuing their own state. An independent Kurdistan simply is good for no one, bar the Kurds.

What country should a no fly zone be imposed over? Turkey?

Yes a no fly zone over Eastern Turkey so Erdogan's Turkish airforce is banned from flying over that area attacking Kurds or giving logistical support to ground troops to attack Kurds.

Just like the no fly zone we had over Northern Iraq to protect Kurds from Saddam Hussein.

I'd also support economic sanctions against Erdogan, and that he stand trail in The Hague for crimes against humanity, regarding inhumane treatment of the Kurds.

Lets face it, without the Kurds, who else is gonna defeat ISIS in Syria?

The Kurds are the only people we can trust in the Middle East. Brave Kurdish men and woman fighters have driven back ISIS reclaiming hundreds of square miles. They have struck fear and defeat into the evil ISIS Daesh that few others have succeeded in doing.

It's only a matter of time before the Kurds completely block ISIS from the Turkish border starving them of supplies and new members. It won't belong before brave, heroic Kurdish fighters march on Raqqa (the Daesh capital), effectively flushing the Daesh filth out of Syria.

Of course Erdogan doesn't want the Daesh defeated in this way. So he is attacking the Kurds in Turkish Kurdistan, forcing Kurdish fighters to flee out of Syria to defend the Kurds in Turkey. That will allow a Daesh offensive against the Kurds in Syria.
Without the Kurds attacking the Daesh the Jihadists will be able to defeat Assad and turn Syria into an Islamic Caliphate run by a Daesh Jihadist junta, which would be great for Erdogan.

IMO Erdogan should be put on trial in The Hague!

The PKK are an internationally recognised terrorist organisation.

The Kurds are integrated into Turkish society. It's the nutters on the fringes who cause the problem.

Why should the Turks be stopped from defending their own sovereign border from a known terrorist group and why would Turkey want to allow support for the Kurd's in Syria when they could quite easily turn these weapons on Turkey. Turkey should be worried about the Kurd's and quite rightly. There are no good guys in Syria just one group who maybe less extreme than another.
Who would create this no fly zone? Certainly not NATO and any other country would not be acceptable to NATO so this would never happen.
