Nomura Third Interview/Final Interview??

Hi everyone,

I've gone through the standard procedure for Nomura Graduate's role, the application, first round and assessment centre (to put it simply).

And today I got a call from the HR saying that I had passed the AC (all sections well) but I've been invited back for a final interview with a senior executive at Nomura. Apparently he's the guy that makes the decisions and I've googled him and turns out, he's been working there for 10years or so!

My question is, according to the website and previous knowledge, the assessment centre is the last stage in the process so why have I been called for a final interview? Specially when I've already had an interview for first round and one during the assessment centre.

The lady did say the interview would last around 20mins and when asked what I could expect; she said not sure but possibly to re-assess motivations for joining the company?

Any thoughts?

I think some people already answered this in the Summer 2016 thread.
