I think it takes the indicative because saying that something is probable isn't really expressing doubt, but I wouldn't bet money on it or anything.

Il est probable que takes the indicitive like Kelly said, but should you negate it or invert the phrase so it was 'Est-il probable...' it would take the subjunctive because it would denote a sense of doubt:smile:

Il est possible que + subjonctif
Il est probable que + indicatif

Pretty sure that's it - two of my french grammar books say so anyway. Often times the French themselves get the two mixed up, so don't worry too much about it =)

Schaum's doesn't! Il est possible que takes the subjunctive.
