Game Development (Programming) Apprenticeships in the South of the UK?

Pretty specific, I know.

I plan to go to University and do a Masters in Computer Science, but in the event I do not get decent grades (I unfortunately did very poorly in AS), then I'd like to have a back up plan.

I intend to go into game development, with experience in making my own games already under my belt. But I can't seem to find any Developers that offer apprenticeships here. Somewhere like Reading or Guildford would be perfect.

If you have any suggestions or advice, I'd be greatly appreciative.

Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry, I should really mention that it'd be vastly more preferable if the apprenticeship offered a degree, like many do. I see Media Molecule offering an IT apprenticeship (of a Tech support mule, :/ ) but they only offer a college level Diploma, and since I'm coming out of this year with three A2s, that's sort of useless. Thanks.

Why are you so desperate to stay down south?
The best thing about apprenticeships is being able to get into a company you like, so sometimes relocation comes with it.
