I take it you like winding people up? Anyways on the topic itself, no. I think the South as a whole shares many benefits the North and vice versa, and there is no need for it to become a separate country? If the North/South was self-sufficient however, sure if they wanted that. IMO another stupid response from you, this thread topic is fine however?

for Londoners- anything north from the London is The North.
For Northerners- anything south of Wigan is The South.
Myself I'd class anything that was a part of Danelaw (+ Cumbria) as North, softy southerners can take everything else :wink:.
ah, and also the southern Scotland, which has much tighter connections with northern England than with Highlands.

So Liverpool and Sheffield are south then?
Everyone knows that the North-South line goes from Liverpool to Skegness. In any case, only Yorkshire is good enough to be independent. I'd rather be from Norfolk than Lancashire.
