Do you consider Scottish people Northerners?

The Scottish themselves would beg to differ.
Anything above the M25 is Northern

That's the way I look at it! I know we're midlands, but it helps me to look at it in a north-south divide way really :smile:
No I don't, they are scottish not northerners

As a Scot, I've always thought 'northerners' were English and that they'd be from Newcastle and Berrick and such like.

Why do you need to look at it in terms of a north/south divide though? You're ignoring an entire region.

We (and they) are Midlanders.

As a Scot -despite the fact when I go 'up North' people think I'm English because of my lack of an accent- I always categorise northerners as those living in Manchester right up to the border?
