Question regarding courses

I was just wondering, if you have already applied for a specific course through ucas is there any way you can change it for another course you think is more suitable.

I'm Chris and I am a second year ambassador studying Marketing Communications at Bournemouth University, what subject were you thinking of changing from? and what subject would you like to change to? I would be happy to answer any questions you have!

My advice would be to contact the university if you are absolutely sure that you would like to change courses (picking a course is a big decision so lots of people do feel a little unsure from time to time). Here are the contact details for askBU;

Hi Chris,
I've received an offer already from Bournemouth and I will make it my firm choice when the time comes. I've applied for the business studies course N100, but now I would rather specialise in the marketing course instead.

Is there any chance I can actually change it, I'm also attending an applicant day on the 17th of February.

You can change your course (at least I know people who have done that). I would talk to the uni as soon as possible, just to make sure you can.

The other Ambassdors have pointed you in the right direction for information about changing your course, however I'm interested by your choice to change from Business to Marketing. If this helps at all, the Business Studies framework does allow you to specialise in Marketing after the first year. If you were to carry this into your final year, you would be able to tailor the course toward Marketing and have a named degree like I have! With that being said, there are clear differences between Marketing as a pathway and the full course.

I'll be working on the Applicant Open Day on February 17th, delivering a talk in the Business Studies session. Is that the one you are attending?

I have applied to Bournemouth and originally I applied to BA Film and I got a conditional offer, though when I went to the open day I realised that I would rather have applied to the Media Production course. A few days ago I emailed the university asking if I could switch courses and I got a response today saying that it was no problem at all so it's been sorted! I'm sure it'll be the same for you too.

To Steve,

I apologise for my late reply, and I would like to inform you that I actually changed my mind. I looked over the course again and preferred the range of subjects that the business studies all pathways course provides.

I recently made Bournemouth my firm choice, and am extremely exited to attend university there in September (if I get the required grades).
Thank you for getting in touch with me to try and help me choose the right course, but I have kept to my original plan.
