The Russians have always been infamous for their brutality in war, from back when they were still the Soviet Union. It seems they've retained that brutal military culture. I don't see how this is anything but a war crime.

It makes me wonder why there's so much resentment towards the West amongst Islamic communities though, when the Ruskies have also occupied Afghanistan and are currently bombing Syrians much worse then the West are.

It just goes to show how stupid these people are. I include the sanctimonious Westerners who lose their minds at the proposition of a surgical British air strike campaign against ISIS but are completely silent over Russian atrocities.

Where are these people in this thread? All we've seen is that one guy coming in to spout pathetic whataboutery over America hitting a hospital even though Russia hit 4 hospitals around the same time. You couldn't make it up.

Speaking about the British people on this forum and elsewhere like Stop The War Campaign types now. These people don't care about Muslims being oppressed. They just pretend to because it helps their agenda to exploit it. They're only about slagging off Britain and America. Their silence over Russia doing far worse on a regular basis proves this. They're full of crap and completely unaware that people see straight through them. ISIS et al see them as useful idiots and probably laugh at them in Raqqa.

It's not Muslims in general who hate the West.

It's lower class people who live in council estates in Bradford/Luton/Tower Hamlets, they don't hate the West because of anything the West does, most of them have better lives than they would have if they lived in Saudi Arabia (the Saudis love rich White people, they're not exactly known for their love of poor desis however, except for when they're using them for sex, so much for being Islamic lol).

Resentment towards the West and Islamism is them looking to blame the mainstream external culture for their own failings in life whilst simultaneously identifying with an outside culture which gives a sense of belonging and achievement.

'I don't need good grades, a nice car and a good job, it's all a trap of al-Dunya anyway; I have Allah, the Sunnah and will be getting virgins in paradise, just wait all those rich, normal successful people will be burning in hell'

It's the same feeling of being a loser which caused the rise of the Nazis after the humiliation of WW1 and the treaty of Versailles, a collective narcissistic injury.

Don't care whether the US or Russia kills Daesh fighters the quicker they are gone the better. Civilians should have gone to refugee camps or cities in the east (Latakia, Damascus) if they die it is fully their own fault as they are in a war zone.

I forgot Chechnya. There's even historic examples too, like the Chrimean war. Which interestingly enough had the UK fight alongside the Ottoman empire against Russia.
