Don't be silly like me.

Well I just spent ages typing out a problem in here only to realise my mistake as soon as I'd written the 9 paragraphs.

But just in case anyone else goes through the same issue,

If you use Access and put in VBA code, check your Private Sub headings. If you start editing them and leave in things like (As Integer), it can cause some hefty problems that are difficult to find the source of.
