When do I apply to degree apprenticeships?

I've looked at several engineering apprenticeship programmes that provide a BEng degree at the end. They say they require A levels, but when do I apply? Do I apply the same time as UCAS with my predicted grades, then get a guaranteed place IF my A levels check out or do I apply once I have my A levels under my belt?
Hi @Vindaloovians

Great to hear that you're considering an engineering apprenticeship!

We have many available at Thales and we're already recruiting now for our apprentices to start in September. Usually you would apply in advance of your A-Level results and you would be offered a role on the basis of you achieving the target results, so any offer you're made by an employer in advance of results day is subject to the condition you achieve your grades - this is common across the industry so I would start your applications asap!!

Good luck with your applications and if you're interested in Thales, check us out on

JLR's applications start September 2016 for 2017 start, apply early.
