There are usually a mixture of assignments and exams. So far we've had to do 2 presentations (with other people) - one didn't count to this year's marks and one did.

I'm at Southampton and you can see full details of the modules and how each of them is assessed by going here and working thru the modules: http://www.southampton.ac.uk/engineering/undergraduate/courses/audiology/b610_bsc_audiology.page#modules

If the modules dont note presentation on the link you just gave does that mean we dont have to do one?
Also wow there are so many modules- we have to do all that?

There are actually 6 modules in the first year. Some run in both semesters, some in just one. Four of the modules are purely audiology and two are general healthcare science (one of those isn't on the link for some reason, but it's Scientific Basis of Healthcare Science - basically anatomy and physiology: this or maybe a shorter version of this: http://www.southampton.ac.uk/healthsciences/undergraduate/modules/hsqm1003-health-sciences-1.page#assessment). In the Professional Practice module (general Healthcare Science) we had to give a presentation in semester one. The detail of this module wasn't on my earlier link, but you can find it here, including brief details of the assessment and presentation: http://www.southampton.ac.uk/healthsciences/undergraduate/modules/hsqm1001-introduction-to-professional-practice.page#assessment

The content of all audiology courses in the UK is very similar (laid out under the Department of Health's Modernising Scientific Careers), although they might assess things slightly differently at other unis, I'm not sure.
