In an endothermic graph why does it go down after there is enough activation energy?

Why does the graph go down. Is it because the reaction has started and some energy is lost.

When energy reaches its peak on the graph this is called transition state (where the bonds are half-made and half-broken) however transition state is unstable - any tiny change in either direction will send it either forward to make the products or back to the reactants again therefore the graph falls.
