People who say "mate" all the time.

Does anyone have that friend who says mate in almost every sentence?

I know they mean well but it just annoys me to the point of insanity when they use it at the end of every sentence.

No, but I wouldn't have a problem with it at all!

A person who uses the word 'mate' as often as that is likely to be very friendly and nice to be around! :h:

I doubt it. Cockneys say it a lot, and they are far from amicable or "friendly".

Depends on the context it's used in. Sometimes it can sound patronising other times it's used in light hearted banter or it's just friendly :smile:
