U.K. And Australian prison

I hope it's ik to post this here -
Hidoes anyone no if the uk and Australia have some kind of agreement in place so that when someone is in prison in the uk ( this person has dual citizenship between the 2 countries, born in uk but resides in Australia ) that they can serve half the sentence ( uk laws ) and go back to Australia straight away? Or would they have to stay in the uk till their sentence date comes , or would have to do the full sentence in prison ? - the person was refused bail due to not residing in the uk and being a flight risk- even with both passports surrendered to the police . They have yet to be sentenced, they were on a gbh section 18 charge which is now a section 20 and have been on remand since late December 2015 - due in court later this month and the trial/sentencing date was set for In a few months time but have been told that it may happen this month if the cps can't produce enough evidence to get the charge increased to a section 18 again.if anyone could give me any info on the uk and Australian bit that would be great. Thanks
