Trouble with physics is that basically if you want to do it for A-Level, then maths is essential (at my shool at least, you're not allowed to do physics without maths) and that would take up a place that could have been used for biology so people don't do it really to A-Level.
As for AS levels, I reckon people do often do physics coz IMO its pretty easy at GCSE. I was going to do it, but then i remembered that electricity is DAAAAAAAAMNNN boring, and that if I had to do just another few lessons trying to figure out what the hell voltage/potential difference actually is, i might jump on the table and do a great big whoopsie on the circuit.
