This thread and some of the responses shows how socially inept some on this site are, clubbing is not solely for that reason. I am shocked how few people on here go clubbing, I know like one friend who doesn't like clubbing. Drinking and having a laugh with your friends whilst listening to music is the main purpose, guys and girls enjoy this.

If you think the majority of club-goers are guys trying to pull then you are misinformed, they do exist but they are very much the minority. Once again I am shocked yet not surprised with TSR.

Some girls want to make out with people too?

These days I mostly just go out to dance around with my friends but the music usually isn't my style but on the rare occasion it's the good indie nights with all the songs I like it's good.

Haha thanks, I like you too! I hope he's a troll because the idea someone genuinely thinks like that is absurd and a little scary. Although, a PhD student who still clubs 2-3 a week is rare/non existent. So a troll or really needs to get a grip.

From my own perspective , I go clubbing to have some fun in terms of dance, sing to songs, have a good time with friends. I get chatted up so many times by guys and I just move away or politely say sorry I'm not interested and they go away.

Why don't you dance and sing to songs with friends at home then? It's the same just not with the guys that you don't want to talk to... :s-smilie:

For me, it's fun to get really dressed up, have a few drinks and a boogie with your friends! On normal days I usually just like to be comfy and wear plainish tops with black leggings / jeans and Converse or trainers so it's nice to get glammed up and wear heels once in a while! Now I'm in a LTR I still enjoy just having girlie nights out but when I used to be single, the idea of possibly meeting someone was so exciting / it was all about getting numbers - having a cheeky flirt! And it can be a nice confidence boost. I met my boyfriend in a club and so did a lot of my friends. I rarely go out now though, I get really tired! I went out all the time when I was 17/18 now I'm 23 I just go occasionally. It's more fun when it's illegal! But I still get a bit nervous when the bouncers are checking my ID haha!
