I don`t really know how to alleviate this.
Problem is, i don't know if it's just really bad muscle pain/a rip, or the beginnings of sciatica.
But (excuse the pun) it's only in my right butt cheek, about 1/3 of the way up from the rounded bottom bit; there's no pain in my left cheek, which makes me think it isn't sciatica, and it eases somewhat when i apply accupresure (i know about accupresure points since i used to do Kyusho Jitsu).
The pain the rest of the time is killing me - i can't do anything like russian twists, deadlifts or squats, because it feels like my butt is ripping in the location described.
It has been hurting for 10 days or so, and i'd love some advice on what i can do to try to relieve it (maybe it's just a really tense or tight muscle?) before i go and see a doctor.
I've tried accupressure together with a special gel i got called Feldene (the last time i went to doc for inflamed ligaments), and sleeping with my legs somewhat raised, and or a pillow between them (common tips to ease sciatica - just in case it is that).
The pillow thing works - for the duration of my sleep, but the rest of the time my butt feels like it's being stabbed!
Any advice, please?!
