well there are two ways you can split up your time in between England and America.

One such way is Study Abroad.. where you spend a year of your (3 year) degree (generally the 2nd year) in America. However you come back to england for your final year and you graduate with a degree from the Bristish University. The tuitions fees are paid to the UK university whether your at the UK university or the American one

The other possibility is to transfer university - assuming you start out in the British University , you will then transfer to the American college at the end of your 1st or 2nd year. Ultimately going on to complete your degree in America and recieve a degree from the American institution which you attended. [However this 2nd option is slightly more competitive and transfer entry to american undergraduate programs is generally harder than normal entry] . In this situtation tuition fees are paid to whatever university you attend at the time.
Also, undergraduate degrees in the US are usually four years instead of three, so you'd probably end up spending more total time in uni. Unfortunately, you will have to pay US tuition fees and you most probably won't be eligible for financial aid/grants/scholarships. Spending a year in the US as part of a UK degree is probably your best option.
