Thoughts on landsdowne campus?

Hi! I'm a sociology applicant for Bournemouth  They said at the applicant day whole course is taught down at Landsdowne campus, so i was just wondering what its like? I know its older and smaller than Talbot but does it ever feel isolated from most of the other courses held at Talbot/Do you feel like your missing out not being there?

Hi feeeb,

I am a second year student at Bournemouth University studying Television Production. My course is actually taught at Talbot but I do know a few people who study at the Lansdowne campus.

I haven’t heard of anyone feeling isolated there. The majority of the accommodation halls are based in Lansdowne so most students live here. If anything it will be quite handy for you when you have a lecture… no need to get up earlier to catch a bus!

As the majority of students live in Lansdowne this is where they socialise. Lansdowne is a short walk away from the town centre so you will be in the middle of everything including nightlife.

If you did want to go to the Talbot Campus you still have access to all their facilities and it is only a short bus ride away. There are also loads of societies that you could join if you wanted to meet more people at both the campuses

If you have any other questions feel free to ask
