i like dark humour but sometimes it goes too far
tbh though
if you do a rape vs murder thing
murder - victim dies end of
rape - victim lives with that the rest of their life

so in a sense rape is worse

but thats just mah opinion

Worse than murder jokes but not as bad as 9/11 jokes.

Yeah those ones seem to crash and burn

Also we can have TV shows about sympathetic serial murderers, but I don't recall there ever being a sympathetic serial rapist protagonist..
i think there's a time and place for both set of jokes
also weird how using 'raped' as a way of saying 'you got owned' isn't generally received very well but saying 'killed' or 'slay' is acceptable
I think it does depend on context as well. Such as;

"I don't need my agronomist to tell me that's rape".

Although I doubt anyone here will understand it.

I don't know any "murder jokes" BTW - anyone care to enlighten me?

Bought some baby oil yesterday.

That'll stop the buggers sticking to the pan.
Depends if they're funny or not

Also, don't bump 5-year-old threads.

I guess there's a grossness to rape and a creepiness, but I'd rather be raped than murdered (though I am male), as at least there's some hope of a future with being raped.

But it seems to me that some murder jokes are acceptable, but no rape jokes are acceptable.

What is the solution? No rape or murder jokes? Rape and murder jokes?

Rape is much much worse. I would rather be murdered than raped.
