It depends on your uni's even if you don't meet your offers they may still let you in....
However, if not you apply through clearing

how do i apply through clearing?

and whats the chances of leeds met letting me in through clearing to do Multimedia tech?
Clearing doesn't start until after A Level results day (or after the results day in Scotland for Scottish unis).

So on the Thursday, on your way to pick up your results, go and buy a copy of The Independent newspaper. it lists all vacancies. Ring up the unis you're interested in, and have a chat with them.

Or you could already look on the UCAS website and you might be able to get an idea of what courses might be in clearing.

:ditto: The ones that are in Extra at the moment might be in Clearing because they haven't filled all their places yet, but there are no guarantees.

Exactly. However, many of the courses at the top Universities, eg. Durham and Warwick, will normally be taken up. For example, Computer Science at Durham was in Extra a few weeks back and now it's no more.
Imperial have quite a few places in Extra, but be careful, as quite a lot of them are just open solely for international students. Money in other words.
