I saw a few asian customers buying it, but again it didn't have a name.

Depends on which type of "Asian" store you're asking.
The main consumers of this type of veg, is in South East Asia. By this I mean Vietnam, Laos, Camboadia, China, Taiwan, Phillipines, Malaysia, Pakistan, India and Japan.
They each have their different names, but if you can describe it as a "Bitter, green veg with ridges and seeds inside" then they can probably point you in the right direction.

This veg is VERY bitter actually btw.

In English it's called okra or lady's fingers, but in India and Pakistan people call it bhindi. Either way you'll be understood. And when I've had it it's never been bitter? I think it depends on the way you cook it.

yh I think I've heard the name Bhindi somewhere.
I was worried cos I don't think I'd heard the word Okra really.

Well the literal translation of it's name from the majority of the South Eastern countries which consumes it is "Bitter Melon" or "Bitter Cucumber"

The name hints at it P

Posted from TSR Mobile I think the most common name for it would be lady's fingers though
