Tips: -Find out out about chi-squared if you're using the purple, Pearson Biology Year 1 Textbook. It might not be in there) - thanks for the info @Ozil5 and @amalick1029 - Edexcel has (including in its past papers) multiple choice questions so check them out - @Sky14107836285 -It might not be in the textbook and you might not have done it as a PAG so maybe check out "Serial Dilution" - @SolomonP Just a few questions to start things off:-How far are you in the curriculum?-Have you done the sample papers in the website?-Do you have any advice for the others?
Update!
-Just added some links to notes in this thread. Some people are kinda skipping some really helpful resources so I thought I should arrange it during break. If you guys didn't want your post/link on OP just tell me. I just wanted to make the links more visible to new people. Cheers

More like the carbohydrates, lipids and phospholipid stuff
For that topic, diagrams are a great way to revise that because, based on the past spec., OCR likes giving "identify this... and state the function of..." questions.
It also comes up in some essay questions which I'm pretty sure they would take advantage of for the other paper so memorise key words and key phrases using flash cards. Don't forget to remember the differences between the structures of bacteria, plants and animals. Sometimes they also ask you to draw sugar molecules so memorise that as well.
Overall, for this topic, I'd say flashcards and diagrams are the way to go. Making a mini glossary also helps because they can give you questions like "what is transpiration?', etc.

hi
We are on communicable diseases of module 4, and we need to finish off translocation of module 3 too. We recently had a mock exam where they used the specimen paper, but I havent done any other sample papers
*IMPORTANT*Hi everyone! I'm actually in my first year of university now but thought I would post all of my resources from my A levels last year. There are 1000s of resources including notes, practice questions and answers etc. for A2 Biology, Chemistry and Maths. There were far too many to upload them individually so I uploaded them to a google drive so if you follow the link below it will take you to them! I found TSR so helpful when I was doing my A Levels and found other peoples notes to be useful so I thought I would reciprocate the favour and upload mine! They aren't exam board specific so I hope they're helpful (although I did do OCR-Bio, Edexcel- Chem and Maths).Enjoy!https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5eZEYkqM9hmUTFod25kMm1WN28&usp=sharing

Bozeman science also added this new video about the Student's t-test, its a short part in Data skills but it might provide some insight into how you use it in the exam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTmLQvMM-1M

I believe so, it was in data skills in the last few pages of the text book so yeah. I'm still not 100% sure of when to use it since I haven't seen it come up before in the past papers I've done so maybe its a new topic.

The cgp textbook? I looked for it and didn't find anything about it. What page is it on?

CGP textbook? Oh, no, it's the Pearsons A-level year 1 OCR Biology A textbook. I'm not sure about the CGP textbook but the Pearsons one puts Data Skills in like a small chapter.
Maybe the CGP textbook integrated it in with a topic.
How far are you doing with revision? I've just finished biological molecules but I have loads to do.
Nice, that's way better than me. Properly, I've only revised microscopes but, I have revised Bohr Shift and Spirometer (well, more like finally learned them).
We're halfway through module 4! Flashcards are helping me not dread this exam too much. Thank god for half term between the exams- relying on depth for that B!
today we did a paper in class of the new specification was so hard for me 😞 does anyone have the 2015 paper from last year june? and markscheme and any tips for the multiple choice questions
