maria sharapova should be banned from tennis for dug taking?

maria sharapova has just come out and said that she has tested positive to a banned substance that she has been taking for 10 years that was not banned until recently, I mean even if it has just recently been banned how the hell did she not know, that is ******** she is a liar and a cheat and she should be banned from tennis forever, and she should have all her grandslams taken away including her medal at the london olympics 2012

No.

Unless proven otherwise - and no test has shown this - she has not cheated her way to any of her wins. The medication she was taking was legal at the time, it only became illegal this year. That is not grounds for removing previously won titles.
Apparently the Drug company has spoken and claim the normal treatment for this prescription is 10 weeks

Taking it for 10 years!

Not buying it

"How is it typically used?
Grindeks told the Associated Press that a typical treatment course of the drug is four to six weeks, and that a course can be repeated two or three times in a year if necessary.

Sharapova said she begun using it in 2006 and has been using it since.

But that discrepancy shouldn't necessarily raise suspicions, says Joyner. "It may well be that it's typical to use acutely in a patient [for four to six weeks]. But once a drug is approved, physicians can use it for all sorts of reasons, that may or may not be what it was intended for. There may be some Russian physician who thought, Well, if it reduces fatigue and helps the heart recover, it'll help her muscles recover faster."

Quote taken from a Buzzfeed article, referring to Grindeks - the manufacturer - and Dr Michael Joyner of the Mayo Clinic.

Innocent until proven guilty.
Hilarious that she's never documented it before and all of a sudden now they've found it she's been taking it forever as an innocuous drug that she had no idea was giving her an edge. K den.

It wasn't illegal before, why would she document it?
