'Sitting on the fence' in 'evaluate' essay conclusions

Can I get top marks if I do this? Sometimes there are no clear answers as to which theory is superior or whatever, and it would feel kind of forced and lame to argue that one is better than the other, but I don't know if that's seen as evidence of lacking skills in critical analysis or whatever?
I was taught throughout undergrad to take a side.

Hey fellow psychology student. I was wondering if you could do me a favour? For my research project, I have to get people to do my online questionnaire. I'm in need of a few more people to do it, so was wondering if you would? Psychology solidarity and all that?
