Loughborough uni accommodation

I have firmed an offer for loughborough and been looking at their accommoation choices. For what i can afford and what i want i've narrowed it down to two, Falkner Eggington and Telford. Just wondering what any past or present students have to say about these halls and which one you would choose out of the two?

Good choice with firming Loughborough!

Starting with Falkner Eggington, the interior of it has all mostly been refurbished so it's quite modern looking as well. I've been in the rooms and kitchen and was pleasantly surprised how new and clean it looked. One downside of the halls is that they don't have wash basins in the rooms. but I imagine that you'll just get used to using a shared bathroom for everything, just like one big family. There's two bath rooms I believe for 7/8 student. Being one of the cheapest halls at Lough, I think it's the best value for money. It ranks 1st for accommodation at Loughborough on the student crowd as well. It's slightly further out than some of the other halls, but it's not a massive issue.

The Telford halls are located In the village so they're pretty close to everything, like it says on the site - 2 minutes away from the Library. These rooms do have wash basins in the rooms so there's a bonus, and only 4-6 students share a bathroom, so slightly less havoc I suppose. In terms of the interior and the rooms, it's slightly more dated compared to Falk Egg. It's got a really good rep for the how close everyone is in Telford though.

Personally out of the two, if you don't mind having more people share a bath room with you and not having a wash basin, I'd chose Falkner Eggington, but I recommend doing your own research as well. The Loughborough uni site has good 360 views of rooms in the halls so it's worth having a look at those.

Personally I'd choose Falkner because you get a lot more for your money, with the all referbed insides. In the long run you're going be saving £300 ish, so if you don't mind not having a basin in your room and more people to bathroom, it's an alright saving.
