How Social and Demographic Changes Have Affected Housing Developments

HELP!

I can't remember covering this at all in my studies...its a question on the AQA Spec B Geography exam GGB1.

With reference to one or more urban areas in the UK, explain how social and demographic changes over the last 30 years hae affected the type and location of housing developments (10 Marks)

Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated!

Hey:smile: i think i remember doing something similar, and i used the Gorbals area of Glasgow as one of my case studies. As far as i remember it was created as a new residential area on the outskirts of the city, as a result of Glasgow's rapid growth, with tower block flats etc. There were also problems with crime and disputes between the new and old residents. Sorry to be a bit vague but it was a while ago! If you have a look around the internet you can probably find more detail on this area. Hope that helps a bit!:biggrin:
