    What do you mean by "equiv to MEng"?

    AFAIK BEng != MEng?

    BEng in Aussie unis are 4-yr courses and can lead you to Professional Engineer (or Chartered Engineer) Status with few years of work experience and without having to go through further learning (Matching Section).

    In UK, BEng are all 3-yr programmes and if you choose to do it then you need to do MSc (or Matching Section) for getting Chartered Status after getting few years work experience. On the other hand, MEng is a 4-yr undergraduate Masters programme which can lead you directly to Chart Eng status (ofcourse after having a few years of work experience). [Correct me if I'm wrong...]

    Therefore, UK MEng ~ Australian BEng!

    EDIT: my course is Year1+2 in Malaysia campus, Year3+4 in Melbourne, Australia
