It's out of their hands really - if a teacher takes the papers and sells them, there isn't much Edexcel can do. They have to hope the colleges lock them up once they recieve them. It's not like they have the staff (or money) to escort and protect every batch of exam papers.

The way to stop this is to find people who do it and do something like stick them in prison for 5 years and ban them from having anything to do with exams, that will show anyone thinking about it they can be found out.

Yeah, I suppose it must be really difficult to stop teachers getting their hands on the papers before the exams. Our school has an exam secretary, and all of the papers are locked in her office, but I guess the caretaker has a key, so it wouldn't be impossible to get hold of the papers.

This is beyond stupid. I can't help thinking that there's someone on the inside releasing the papers - speculation I know, but it's like there's a mole inside
Not that that's a good thing, frankly it sucks that papers are being sold for profit, or that they're released prematurely at all.

It does seem odd though that its mainly Edexcel not OCR or AQA with the problems... Presumably if it were teachers selling the papers they wouldnt ask for £1000 given that there students couldnt afford it, someone in Edexcel or the printing firm perhaps selling them to teachers/schools?

edexcel supply more papers than any other board. its more likely that their paper will get exposed prematurely.

Actually, its AQA who is the biggest awarding body- 56% of all general exams in the uk are taken with them- putting more bad light on Edexcel for all those leaks!

I'm so glad i don't do any edexcel exams this year- what with all the leaks, the `scanning` of thier papers, and now it said on the bbc that they are e-mailing these papers all around the world e.g. Australia were people mark for less money- CRAP!

AQA, OCR AND CCEA ARE MUCH SAFER

emailing them? in plain text?

The whole thing sucks, for anyone who looked at the questions by accident, not realising that they were from the actual paper. :frown:

this is soo bloody annoying.. caz it means people who cheated will obviously get higher grades and this will surely disadvantage us as the grade boundries will be higher :frown:
