Private Halls?

Hi, so I have an offer from NTU and accommodation bookings opened today. In your opinion how important is it to stay in halls? Im planning to move out however I want to stay in a student accom that does not belong to the uni. I like my own space and also sharing a kitchen may be difficult for me as I have allergies and do not drink alcohol. Ive found some places that are walking distance from Nottingham Trent and the building is only for students. So I'd have my own kitchen and bathroom at a cheaper price than halls . Realistically do I need to stay in halls? Will I struggle in making friends?

Hey man. I have two friendship groups, my seminar group and my flat. It was important during freshers that I had my flat mates just to meet new people. However they do events for people not in halls in freshers. Let me know what you decide
