Yep. I took my A-Levels in 2009, then served two years of mandatory military service.

Hi,
So who went to the Somerville study day today (18-Feb)? What subject did you do and how did you find it?

I did Physics (group 1) and thought it was okay although I thought there'd be some more interesting stuff in the session. The tour went pretty good too, had a tour guide called Dan (I think) who showed us round the other colleges too which were also as impressive as Somerville, especially their gardens.

What did you guys think?

You should expect to hear in August. The College allocates accommodation for you since it's all pretty similar and costs the same so there's no complicated process of collecting preferences from candidates before the A-level results come out and then notifications going back out about whether people got what they wanted or not. It's all done for you. The College will be in touch with every successful candidate once the results for the A-level candidates are known.

I've received my confirmation letter in the mail a while ago, but UCAS still has not been updated. Does anybody know if this is a cause for concern?

I have not even received any confirmation letter.... It has been 5 months since my IB results published......

Have you contacted Somerville? They may not have recieved your results. The same thing happened to me and I only just resolved the issue last week. Once they recieved the my results, I got letter of confirmation in a few days, even though I'm an international.

Only just signed up to the Student Room so i'm kind of new to all this. I was hunting around for the other potential Law Students from Somerville, i got my offer through in December but i'm waiting on results in August (fingers crossed). I was just looking for any other of the prospective freshers .

Hi, I have an offer for PPE for Somerville, waiting on results in August too. I can barely remember ANYTHING about the interview, it went so fast aha. I'm unsure as to how my exams went this summer, but I'm so excited that I might get the chance to go to Oxford. Good luck!! Abby
