Absorbing information tips (textbooks & difficult wording)?

So I am preparing to study law and I need some advice for absorbing the information in textbooks? I've studied a small amount of law before so I understand it on a basic level, but the way most textbooks are worded (except my specific a-level one), it's quite difficult to read. Complex wording and I have to reread sentences just to understand the wording fully..

Any tips? Does this get easier as you study the subject more and more - because I understand the actual law but the wording is what I get stuck on? I am planning on studying law at university as well so this is worrying me and I am hoping it'll just get easier as I get used to reading these kinds of textbooks.
