Accommodation questions

Hi, just wanted some advice about accommodation at Middlesex university.

I'm doing Criminology come this Sep/Oct and I was wondering which hall I should apply for? I haven't visited the university yet, but wanted to get some advice/opinions on it by someone who has gone there.

Also, I know that you have to pay a £200 deposit and I've saved enough money to put down this deposit (as I wanted to get accommodation sorted as soon as possible) but my grandmother is saying I don't need to do that because my student finance will cover that?
I don't think thats true but I wanted to ask anyway.
