Etsy selling
So i would like to start selling through Etsy. I create clothing at the moment for myself and friends and would like to have a go at creating my own shop. I was wondering what the taxing situation would be, i also don't live at home (at uni) so where would i register this etc... Also would there be any standards i would have to meet to be able to sell clothing?
If you go on the etsy discussion forum you will find lots of useful topics. you have to register yourself as self empolyed and register your company.
Etsy fees:
Having a shopFreeListing an item$0.20 USD eachSelling an item3.5%you will also need public liability insurance, i think it costs around £100 not sure, because you are legally responsible for any damage or injury that your product makes. this type of insurance covers you and your business.
