I am revising for my land law exam which includes a topic on easements, and while doing past questions I am struggling to know which creation method of the easement to apply to the questions. For example -

The claimant bought a mill, and the cars which go to the mill leave over land belonging to the defendant for ease.
The claimant believes they had permission although they cannot find any documents showing this.
I know it is implied or prescription (maybe) but I cannot narrow down the options.

Has anyone got any tips that would make this topic easier for me in the exam?
I think I understand the principles, I just cannot apply them without confusing it for myself.

    Many thanks!
