Pericoronitis

Hi,
Just developed symptoms of pericoronitis over the last few hours - swollen/tender/red gum, difficulty moving jaw, PAIN!!
Currently away from home so does anybody have any tips on how to treat it until I can get to my dentist in a couple of weeks?

Any help is much appreciated - thank you!
Not an expert on this in any way, but based on personal experience, NSAIDs such as ibuprofen tend to work a bit better for wisdom tooth pain than paracetamol. I also try and use mouthwash regularly, but not sure if it actually helps in any way... Hope the pain settles soon, and you manage to get to your dentist ASAP!

Thank you! I've taken some Ibuprofen and it's eased the pain ☺ will try some salt water mouthwash tonight!
