Summer subletting advice!
Hi everyone
I'm currently sharing a flat with two other students in London and my contract runs out in early August. As my exams finish in May and I'm not in the UK for much of June and July (and can't really afford a flat that I'm not using), I'm considering subletting my room over the summer.
I can't find much advice online so I'm wondering if anybody who's done it could tell me how it works and how easy/worthwhile it is.

can you not ask your landlord to switch the contract to the new person? the only danger really is that if your landlord finds out you could be in trouble, also if there is any damage/cleaning costs you will be liable for them and won't be there to take photos of the flat etc as proof of it's condition
