I'm going on to do a degree in English language next year. Although I love the subject I'm worried about what I will do once the degree is over, it's not like I'm working towards a specific job like medicine for example. Can anyone who's already done a degree in English language or linguistics please reply and tell me what they're doing now, just to put my mind to rest. Or anyone planning to do English and what their plans are for after their degree?

You can do any job that doesn't require a specific degree or one that requires an Arts and/or English degree. There are literally thousands of possibilities ranging from banking to pharmaceuticals. Most grad schemes do not require a specific degree.
